Ah, excuse me but isn't that YOUR JOB?
Let's ask the Goog, ok? OK Google, what does a technical recruiter do? From http://technicalrecruitingbook.com/resources/become-an-it-recruiter/technical-recruiter-job-description/:
And from https://definedterm.com/qualified_candidates:Duties of the Technical Recruiter (for a Job Description)The job of a technical recruiter is to be able to identify/screen/qualify candidates for IT positions...
- Identify. Sourcing and uncovering candidates
- Screen. Ascertaining the competence of candidates against a technical job description
Qualified candidates are those being considered for any competitive placement action who meet all established minimum eligibility and qualification requirements for the positionNow if I took the time to visit those links and read their descriptions then make the determination and self qualify that would take all of the responsibilities off of you and place them on me wouldn't it? And what fun would that be for you? No, there's no way I will want to deprive you of that joy, the very reason you entered into the field of Technical Recruiter. I'm not that mean Brooke. I mean I would get all bent out of shape if you started doing my job by coming in an coding up stuff. I'm sure you understand.
I really don't think you want me to point out that the requirements for the first position is 3 years of experience in AWS, CICD, Chef, Puppet, Jenkins because if I pointed out that you might be tempted to look at my resume and find that I don't have 3 years of experience in any of that. That would make you sad I'm sure.
And I mean if I was to point out to you that that second position requires 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies, hands on experience with AWS in production environment including EC2, VPC, S3. RDS, IAM, ELB, CloudWatch, Route53, EBS, ElasticIP, Lambda Scripts, etc, as well as Containerization practices (Docker, Consul, AWS ECS, and related infrastructure), etc. you might find that too crushing of evidence about your lack of skills in your current job that may even cause you do to something bad to yourself and I wouldn't want to have that on my hands!
